Inventory and Analysis
The Inventory and Analysis establishes the technical foundation for the Schoharie Gateway Area Plan by documenting existing physical, regulatory, environmental, and economic conditions within the study area. Informed by the community-led vision of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and additional key sources, this analysis identifies the opportunities and constraints that will shape the future development of the Gateway Area.
Draft Public Engagement Plan
The Public Engagement Plan outlines a comprehensive approach to gather essential input and feedback, educate the public about the Gateway Plan, and develop community consensus for a successful planning effort.
The Plan defines: (1) the distinct responsibilities of the Town of Schoharie, the project team, and the Advisory Committee; and (2) the methods used to inform and actively involve the public in the Gateway Area planning process. It specifies a variety of forums and outreach mechanisms designed to engage all interested persons in developing and preparing the final Gateway Plan.
The Village and Town of Schoharie completed their Comprehensive Plan in February of 2025. A key recommendation from the Comprehensive Plan was to initiate a Gateway Area Plan which this project is based on.
